tile flooring is virtually indestructable

Nothing is indestructible; however when it comes to kids and pets, tile is an outstanding choice. Compared to hardwood or carpet, tile withstands your everyday spills with ease.

Ceramic Tiles:

Are formed with clay, minerals and water, and fired and glazed to seal the tile as ceramic is porous. This process is how the unique color and style is formed. Contrarily to popular belief they are extremely resistant to scratching when coated with a glaze of grade III or higher. Benefits: Ceramic tile is usually less expensive than porcelain tile.

Porcelain Tiles:

Are formed from pressure and heat with sand like material. This makes porcelain denser and stronger against water absorption. Because of the moisture absorption rate, porcelain tiles can be installed outside where ceramic tiles cannot.

Benefits: Stronger than ceramic tiles, and can be applied in every application.

Through body colored porcelain tiles will not have to be replaced if chipped because color is same throughout.
